Alligator River Marina - at their dock

Even in the Alligator River - Pungo canal, you can still hit bottom if you venture out of the middle
After a very quiet night at the Pungo River anchorage, we headed north up the Alligator River - Pungo canal and then up the Alligator River. We had heard that the Alligator River Marina had been sold but they took our reservation and we arrived around 3:00  in the afternoon.

We docked and found that Wanda was still around until the end of the month when she will move on to other things. Meanwhile, the marina is still in full operation. I counted nine boats in here tonight. On the down side, the restaurant closes at 6:00 pm so it's an early dinner for those wishing to dine out. We had our favorite ice cream cone, the best spot on the ICW for us, after dinner.

Nine boats are in the marina tonight, we're on a face dock
We take a dock in this area due to the threat of fuzzy bills at an anchorage. We'll move on Wednesday to Coinjock where we have a dock reserved. We will avail ourselves of their prime rib for dinner. We hope to arrive in Hampton by Friday afternoon for a four day stay where we took advantage of the $10/day rental offer from Enterprise over the weekend for a car.
