The jazz ensemble at The Gardens Hotel is tucked away at the right of the photo |
Every year on the first Sunday in March
BO's Fishwagon celebrates their anniversary. This year it was their 21st. They have
Barry Cuda and his band in the afternoon for three sets of displaying their talents and they have a special on grouper sandwiches at $9.99 each, a real bargain. So we went over and listened to Barry for about an hour. They had a birthday cake, a key lime cake, delicious.

Interesting gardens at the hotel |
For the late afternoon entertainment we walked down to T
he Gardens Hotel for a jazz concert which they host every Sunday evening from 5:00 to 8:00. There's no charge for the jazz but they like to sell their wine and we helped them meet that desire. This is the place with the automated wine dispensers. The lady at the cash register is working hard to learn how to use the automated system. Apparently it's rather complicated to put money on the card used in the dispensers. She's getting better.

The jazz ensemble |
The jazz was good if you're into that sort of thing. The band has a great reputation and sounded authentic. We listened for about an hour and then headed to our third venue for the day,
Schooner Wharf where the the
Doerfels were playing. We ordered sandwiches for dinner and were pleasantly surprised at how good they were.

The winds are back but with the temperatures in the high 70s, it's not a problem unless you want to leave and head east, no go with 20 kt winds and higher on the nose.
