With 20 kt winds, there is not a lot of activity at the dinghy dock with boaters braving the large seas. |
It was time for some exploration so we took the Duval Loop bus which is very convenient for getting around Key West. It “loops” around Duval Street so you can get off anywhere along the way and explore everything Duval Street has to offer.
Jupiter graced the night sky at Key West - nice |
It was not crowded but we expect that to change come March. It was warm here but our house in New York was not so lucky. We have webcams spread around the house and one focuses on the thermometer showing both the outside and inside temperatures. While the inside was a nice and toasty 59F, the outside low for the day was minus 10F! I also I have a cam on the fuel oil gauge and it took a noticeable jump down from yesterday. Luckily, the cold spell is not predicted to last. Temperatures are to return to the 40s after tomorrow.
It was “cook’s night off” on the boat what with all the exploring - so we had Cuban Coffee Queen Cuban sandwiches for dinner, delicious! On the way back, the evening sky put on a good show and I got a photo. The winds are due to abate on Sunday and the temperatures will rise too, nice.
