It nice to have a choice if you want to eat on your boat |
There is one place nearby to buy fresh fish. The Raw Bar has a counter selling Key West pink shrimp, tuna, Mahi Mahi, red snapper. Most prices are in the $15 to $20/lb range except for the red snapper at $26/lb and the sea scallops at $36/lb. We will have some of the Key West pink shrimp while we’re here.
Cleaning fish time - or feeding the pelicans time? |
As I was taking Hoolie out for his evening walk, there was a fish cleaning station in use and the scraps were tossed to the eager pelicans who were waiting for the handouts. Mixing in among the pelicans were tarpons roaming underneath. These are big boy feeding times and the seagulls were no where around. Pelicans and seagulls don’t seem to mix well.
If you want a boat ride with refreshments - here’s just the place (that’s apiece) |
Bill Spencer dropped by for a visit and we were glad to see him. He’s down for a week to see the sights and we need to plan on a night out at a restaurant sometime while he’s here. We’re getting into the Key West swing of things - no planning of days, just take them as they come.
