Our afternoon walk - this house went all out! |
Normally in February we walk on the sunny side of the street, switching over to the shady side in March. Not this year, it’s been so warm what it’s the shady side even in February. The flowers continue to come out in full bloom, it’s all very pretty.
Up close to a small flower - I like the shape and color |
BO’s was supposed to have a band tonight so we decided to have dinner there with fish sandwiches and conch fritters. At 6:00 pm, the place was deserted, a far cry from our early days there when we first started coming to Key West. I ordered the fish sandwich and Ann had the fried conch sandwich. What makes the sandwiches so good at BO’s is the Cuban bread they use. I haven’t seen it used anywhere else in Key West although I’m sure it’s part of sandwiches elsewhere - I just haven’t eaten everywhere (yet). Both sandwiches were very good and I finished off Ann’s, she could only eat half of hers.
Enjoying ourselves at BO’s Fishwagon |
With the weekend coming up, we’ll take a break from our morning runs and chill out for two days. I have a car reserved for Wednesday for exploring Key West and surrounding environs. The virus seems to be lessening and we’re getting out more than we did last year - but still staying outside most of the time. BOs is outdoor dining as is Schooner Wharf. The weather is just fantastic here, no rain and temps in the 70s every day, what’s not to like?
