Titusville - Calm before the storms

Early morning at the marina office - sun coming up

We are supposed to get three days of rain and high winds starting Tuesday. So far, the weatherman has been off and the storms have never materialized. Regardless, we’ve reserved a week at Titusville just to relax and enjoy the warm weather before heading north again on Sunday.

Every few days, we take Hoolie over to the dog park. He runs and runs…

We will meet the McKeevers on Tuesday for a dinner out at a local restaurant they like. It will be good to see them again, our socializing has been greatly restricted over the last two years due to you know what. We will rent a car for Wednesday and Thursday to explore the area, most notably Block Point Drive for bird watching and to get groceries at Walmart.

There’s some pretty good bird watching right in the marina!

We’re taking a more leisurely approach to going north this year. The marina where we want to store Fleetwing for the winter on land is currently full and waiting for people to launch their boats for the summer. When we arrive, we should be in sync since we only want storage for the summer months. Stingray Point Boat Works is a do it yourself yard and I need to do some projects so it fits in well.

The weather is beautiful here and we’re just enjoying it no end - until the rains come tomorrow. Still, we comfrey, all tucked in. Nice to be on the water.
