Homer Smith - ICW Presentations

We had 49 attendees

I had two presentations today. Using Bob423 tracks at 3:00 and Status of the ICW at 7:00. 49 people attended the 3:00 presentation, a pretty good turnout. Homer Smith was great! They rented a tent, provided a 70 inch LED TV and brought in a free buffet at 5:00. It was an outstanding venue.

The 70 inch TV provided by Homer Smith was perfect for the event!

However, I barely made it to Homer Smith on time, arriving Wednesday - a day before the event. Hurricane Ian disrupted the trip south, eating up all the extra days I had in the plan. Luckily, all the travel days after Ian had calm winds, not a normal experience.

We will take Friday off and wash the boat, refill water tanks, get last minute provisions, and do a wash. From here, we’ll be moving south pretty quickly. The weather seems to be holding so we will be taking advantage of it as we can.

For anyone in the area, the new Homer Smith facilities are nothing short of amazing. The clubhouse is worthy of any high end resort area. The three showers are fully tiled, you have three washers and three dryers - all free (leave your coins on the boat). The Captain’s room has reclining sofas you sink into and a large screen TV for entertainment, hard to beat. We’ll be back for sure.
