Key West - Artist Street Show and Barry Cuda at Schooner Wharf

It’s a nice add to the area - sure beats a blank wall

Wyland is still finishing up on the giant underwater mural by our dock. He’s elevated by a mechanical lift so he can paint all parts of the mural. He extended the mural around the building and added a few underwater creatures. I think he’s finished but we’ll see tomorrow.

The Artist Festible was spread out close to Schooner Wharf

We walked the Art Festival this morning. It had many of the same artists from the Key West event at Truman Park but this one was right by our dock. Once again, Ann bought jewelry from the same person she’s bought from for the last 10 years. His prices are reasonable and they look good.

Barry and his band played for us. There’s never a charge but it’s polite to order something to eat
And to leave a tip for Barry

Barry Cuda was due to play from 2:30 to 6:00 so we went over around 3:00 to see if we could get a seat and by luck, we found one off to one side. It was perfect for us since we knew the volume would probably be turned up for the open-air event. Of course, we had conch fritters for sure as an appetizer and then seafood tacos for the main meal topped off by a slice of key lime pie - perfect for a Saturday afternoon in Key West.

We had a visitor while we ate lunch

I barely got Hoolie out for his even walk before the rains descended. We’ve had 20 to 25 kts winds all day and they are due to continue for the next three days but we’re secure in our berth, no problem.
