For our last night in Key West, we had Cuban Coffee Queen Cuban Sandwiches! |
I took Ann to see Advance Urgent Care again this morning and all the tests came back negative so we both feel better about that. She has a bad cold but it’s not something else. Only time will cure that affliction.
Now the choice was to either spend more time in Key West at $1000/week or move on to Marathon and complete the recovery there at $154/week. With the unusually calm weather predicted of 5 kts wind at most and smooth seas, along with Ann’s negative tests, to move became the preferred choice.
A blast from the past. Remember when we used to go to the library to take out books? And to use the WiFi? |
Just to keep things interesting, the air conditioning conked out today. It sounds like a loss of refrigerant which is understandable on a 15 year old A/C unit. Hopefully, it’s not more than that. I’ll look around in Marathon for someone that can recharge A/C on a boat. We don’t believe we’ll need A/C on a mooring since we’ll point into the wind and the it’s expected to be 10 to 15 or higher for several days after we arrive.
It will be fun to explore Marathon again. We haven’t been in the mooring field for ages.

Have a nice trip up ... we're southbound to Key West on Monday - since you're going to the field we'll miss you since we're in Safe Harbor. Enjoy the trip north. Going to keep Fleetwing in Titusville again this summer? If so maybe we'll catch you up there before you drive north.
