Titusville - 20 to 27 kt winds all day long

No birds (too windy?) but lots of flowers

We are in the midst of a wind storm. It blew all day long up to 27 kts and it's due to blow all day Monday too. Unfortunately, Titusville Marina is not protected from a northeast wind, it blows right into the harbor through the entrance. All other directions are fine, just not from the northeast.

Lots of thistles, complete with a bee

We now have a little over a foot high step to get off Fleetwing! Normally, it's a level step onto the fixed dock but not after a north wind, especially one that has blown for a day or more. Hoolie has a real jump up to reach land now. So far he's been able to handle it. When we first came down in the fall, we had a foot high step down to the dock! The wind can really push water around even with no tides.

That step from Fleetwing to the dock used to be level, not anymore with the north wind!

This year we have our car with us so we decided to escape the rocking and rolling and take a ride. We first tried Black Point Drive, of course, but the water was low due to the north wind. There weren't many birds but we did see lots of thistles. Getting in a car was good medicine from bouncing at the dock.

We'll endure tonight but the winds ought to back off on late Monday night so we'll have another day of high winds tomorrow.
