Hampton - At a dock, last day

They go out several times a day - what's Fort Wool??
We had Gordon and Eta Johnson over for dinner tonight. They are headed down the ICW starting 10/15 and wanted to see a preview of placed to anchor from someone that's been down there before. Since we've been down there four times to date, we could help.

My blog has all the information needed but it helps to have personal direction in interpreting the suggestions,we spent about 2 hours doing that and then it was time to eat! Ann had prepared Chicken Cordon Bleu but in the middle of the cooking, we ran out of propane! After a quick exchange of tanks, we were back in business.

Looking ahead to Thursday, we're due to leave for the visitor's center in the Dismal Swamp. We need to make the 9:30 opening of the Gilmerton bridge but the time will be against us in the morning so we need to leave around 6:15 am! So it will be an early departure for sure, barely daylight at the time. We'll make the 11;00 am lock and spend the night at the visitor's center before going on to Elizabeth City the next day.
