Fritas - the place has character |
Before heading to the Green Parrot, we thought we would try a place recommended by the McKeevers,
Fritas on the same street as the Green Parrot. The menu is based on Cuban street food and is very good, also very unique. I had the Frita burger they are famous for and Ann had the
Frita Confundita which I had the pleasure of finishing up after Ann ate all she could, it was a big sandwich. Both sandwiches were less than $10 each.

They have outdoor seating too |
Next on the day's event list was the
Green Parrot, a favorite destination for us on a Sunday afternoon when they have jazz sessions. We like their Belgium type beer,
Fat Tire. It's not bitter like I find some other beers and it's easy to drink. Ann likes it too.

Fabulous band! |
We even found a table and sate down for a spell. Ann met someone from Rochester, NY that had a son in law playing in the band, small world. It's a unique place and a part of Key West you don't want to miss, go at least once while here.
