Happy New Year!, Burrrrr

We traveled yesterday to Pennsylvania to pick up Finn. We have webcams scattered around the house, some inside and some pointed outside. The kitchen webcam has a view of the house thermometer which shows the outside temperature as well as the inside.

So I was curious this morning on the temperature back home. Firing up the iPad, I saw a low this morning of 9 below zero! It is surely time to get out of New York. We'll head out Tuesday and arrive at Titusville late Wednesday afternoon with Finn in tow. However, Titusville is not so warm either. The low is predicted to only be 34°F with a high in the 50's.  I think we will hang around Titusville until things warm up, hopefully before spring!

Hi Jack, be sure to drop by, we’re in slip A40. We'll toast the warmer weather! (Relatively, at least)

Freezing rain is forecast down here and to St Augustine for Wednesday!
We and two other boats are going to leave HHI on Thursday with the plan to get to Titusville on Saturday

You will be in town for the night launch on the 4th. We should be passing your location headed South on Thursday and be watching the launch from an anchorage in Melbourne. Safe travels and Thank God for full enclosures!

Bob, Overnight temps Thursday and Friday in Ft Lauderdale will be in the low 40's. Much cooler in Titusville. We are actually forecast for frost on Friday morning here in Ft. Lauderdale.

Fred, we made it to Jacksonville after 13 hours on the road! Ugh, ugh and more ughs! We felt the need to get below the freezing rain line but we wound up right on the edge. We’re only 2.5 hours out of Titusville at least.

Jack, which GPX files did you find most useful? You’ll notice that McClellanville is still missing from the list. I’ll add more as I gain confidence that the route is good through certain spots and that they are relatively stable.
