St Helena Anchorage

We left Southwest Harbor in 8 kts of wind and made our way west. We were able to sail within a couple of miles of Merchant Row passage. The sky was blue, the weather was warm and the sun was out, just great sailing! We saw a boat with a strange sail, like s spinnaker pusher?

We had intended to anchor at one of the better know anchorages in Merchant's Row but they were all full so we went on to an anchorage I had seen used from the time we used to charter in Maine. It's next to St Helena in 15 ft of water and calm in the summer weather. There are islands all around and we visited three, just beautiful with the pink granite formations and crystal clear waters. There were 5 or 6 kayakers camped on one nearby island. Such beauty!
